There Are Many Benefits To The Infared Sauna:

  • Detoxification
  • Heart Health
  • Muscle Recovery
  • Anti-Aging
  • Relaxation
  • Immunity
  • Sleep
  • Weight Loss

Before Your Session

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment starts.
  • Drink at least 8 oz of water before you start. (Water is also provided during your session)

What Should I Wear?

  • A bathing suit or undergarments are ideal. You are welcome to disrobe, we just ask that you keep a barrier between yourself and the bench.

During Your Session

  • An optimal infrared sauna experience occurs between 110° – 135°.  Our sauna does go up to 158° for those who love a high heat sauna experience.
  • For guests with Auto-Immune issues (MS, Lupus, etc), it is advised to keep the sauna at 100°-110°.
  • Do not be surprised if you do not sweat your first few sessions. Sweating increases with regular use.
  • Sessions can be 20, 30, or 40 minutes long.

SAUNA ETIQUETTE

  • Please do not wear shoes in the sauna.
  • Please do not eat or drink in the sauna.
  • Please do not apply lotions or oils prior to or during your sauna session.
  • Place all soiled towels in the laundry bin when you are done.
  • Please do not leave your belongings in the sauna room. If you are attending another service or showering after your session, please take all your personal items with you so we can timely prepare the sauna for our next client. Lockers are also provided for your convenience.
  • Please do leave anything in the sauna cabin. Throw away empty water bottles, tissues, etc.
  • Take a nice big deep breath, kick back and relax!
  • Please arrive for your session 5-10 minutes before your appointment time.

POST-SESSION

  • Drink at least 24 oz. of water or electrolytes.
  • Your body continues to detox post-session, and waiting at least 45 minutes to shower is most beneficial.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Pregnant Women – The infrared sauna is not recommended for pregnant women.

  • Children – The infrared sauna is not recommended for children under 12.

  • Joint Injury – Recent (acute) joint injury should not be heated for the first 48 hours or until the swollen symptoms subside. Joints that are chronically hot and swollen may respond poorly to vigorous heating of any kind.

  • Chronic Conditions / Diseases Associated with Reduced Ability to Sweat or Perspire – Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumors, and Diabetes with Neuropathy are conditions that are associated with impaired sweating. Consult a physician.

  • Fever & Insensitivity to Heat – Individuals with insensitivity to heat or who have a fever should not use the sauna until the fever subsides.

  • Elderly – The ability to maintain core body temperature decreases with age. This is primarily due to circulatory conditions and decreased sweat gland function. The body must be able to activate its natural cooling processes in order to maintain core body temperature. If elderly, operate at a lower temperature and for no more than 15 minutes at a time.

My first experience here was wonderful! Very friendly, welcoming environment. I enjoyed the salt room experience, but the infrared sauna is what I will be returning for. Absolutely divine!
